YouthForce began serving the Seattle community in 1998 with the goal of partnering with local schools and businesses to provide career counseling, trainings, and mentored internships that engage and guide low-income and minority teens, helping them achieve their personal, academic and career potential.
In 2007, seeking to broaden its reach to teens, YouthForce began partnering with and was later acquired by Boys & Girls Clubs of King County. This partnership offered growth opportunities for both organizations. Nationally, Boys & Girls Clubs have placed a new emphasis on teen programming and outreach. As a premier teen development organization, YouthForce was a perfect fit to help bridge the gap in teen outreach.
To date, YouthForce has offered thousands of teens paid internship opportunities through partnerships with innovative Seattle area employers.
