Walmart in Renton is offering an exciting opportunity for underserved teens who are interested in gaining experience and exposure to customer service, human resources, training, and management. You will not be working the register!  You will be behind the scenes learning about everything that goes into getting the store ready for its shoppers!

We are looking for high energy, inquisitive interns who are interested in customer service, management, retail, business, or are interested in developing leadership and training skills.

Job Description:

The internship position will allow underserved high school students the opportunity to develop the skills, experiences, and networks that are critical to any professional career. Interns will rotate through different departments at the Renton Walmart location, working with the store’s staff and management team.

Typical projects may include: Providing customer service and identifying customer needs, maintaining merchandise presentation, receiving and stocking merchandise throughout the facility, and promoting products and services.

Applicants should be comfortable working with customers, have good attention to detail, and can check their work.  Other critical skills include the ability to communicate clearly and ask questions.   Applicants should enjoy working in teams, but are able to work independently.

Schedule:  July 5th 2017 – August 25th 2017

    Monday – Thursday 10:00am – 3:30pm

Pay:          $11.00 per hour.  No benefits are provided.
