YouthForce University Partner

Partner Since:
August, 2012

Key’s recent $500,000 gift to YouthForce will support more teen internships in Seattle as well as the creation of the program at the Boys & Girls Club in Portland. The gift is Key’s largest single gift in history in the Northwest United States.  In addition to funding YouthForce programs, KeyBank employees volunteer with YouthForce University, a volunteer-taught basic money management curriculum developed by KeyBank. KeyBank employee volunteers work directly with YouthForce teens, empowering them to establish healthy banking relationships and successfully manage their own finances.

"YouthForce is an organization that opens multiple doors for young adults in the community. There is so much enthusiasm amongst these teens who are driven to achieve personal, career, and educational success. Since financial basics are no longer being taught in school and rarely discussed at home, there has been a gap for young adults for understanding the value of their hard-earned money, and more importantly, how to hold on to it. Each month when I get in front of the group, they continue to amaze me with their level of engagement. Financial literacy has been well received by the teens and their increased level of financial acumen is evident to everyone involved in the program." -- Elizabeth Do, KeyBank
