YouthForce University Partner
In 2015, Starbucks awarded YouthForce with a $70,000 Youth Leadership Grant to enhance our YouthForce University program offerings with youth who need us most. In 2013-2014, a Starbucks Youth Leadership Grant funded YouthForce University Ladder (YFU-L). The current grant builds on two years of Starbucks funding, and extends our reach to 334 Boys & Girls Clubs’ teens, many of them opportunity youth in need of job training and paid employment.
The Starbucks Foundation is a separate 501(c)(3) charitable organization that receives funding from Starbucks Corporation and private donations. The Starbucks Foundation gave $13.1 million in 2014, making 144 grants to nonprofit organizations. Grants included $3.37 million for Starbucks Youth Leadership Grants and $4.2 million in social development grants. The Starbucks Foundation believes in providing young people, ages 15 to 24 years old, with pathways to opportunity by investing in programs that equip young people with the skills required for the changing global economy.
