In Mieesha’s Words
On my first day working at the CenturyLink Field I remember being very excited. Honestly I was also very nervous until I walked through the door and noticed that I knew a lot of my coworkers already from school or other activities that I’m involved in which made me feel a little less shaky. When we were waiting before our shifts started I was able to meet with a few more new people that I would be working with. Everyone was all very nice and the people that worked at other games helped guide me and gave me a couple insiders on what I should and should not do.
When I met my boss Damon he was cool and very friendly which made me feel even better about working here. Before I started I was really nervous because I didn’t want to mess up or do something wrong because the first impression should always be your best impression in my opinion. I was really excited about meeting new people and seeing how the day would turn out in general. My day ended up turning out great, it was honestly very fun. When I first got there I was a little early so I tried socializing with my coworkers a little bit then once my shift started everything became very busy and I was on my feet a lot. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be though because I was with my team leader the whole time which made things a lot easier. If it wasn’t for her there is no doubt that I wouldn’t have got lost because that place is HUGE!
My favorite part of the day I would say was the giveaways because I got to interact with the fans and to see what that was like, this was also probably the busiest part of my day. YouthForce impacted my life because it gave me a lot of experience with dealing with a lot of different types of people and how to work under pressure and stressful situations.
